Sleeps up to eight people. Ideal location for walking/cycling/riding/touring the Lake District and Eden Valley. 

Pets welcome – but we like them to be well behaved as we are a livestock farm.

The cottage is approximately 20 minutes from the M6 Motorway either J39 Shap or J40 Penrith. 

Good rail and coach connections to Penrith and onward taxi services.  Grid reference is Landranger Map Sheet 90 NY486201.

There are plenty of things to see and do close by such as walking (Ullswater approx. 1 mile over the fell), cycling (many quiet roads and fell lanes), sightseeing, or simply relaxing – and children love the animals.  Our two young boys are proud to show off the stock to visitors.

Other local attractions are an outdoor swimming pool 5 minutes away (seasonal).  Indoor swimming pool 15 minutes away at Penrith.  Pony Trekking 10 minutes away and the Rheged Discovery Centre at Penrith. 

There is an abundance of wildlife in the area from red squirrels,badgers, deer and we have a resident tawny owl this year!

There is a General Store/Post Office & Pubs/Restaurant 5 minutes away in Askham and we do provide a welcome pack.

The cottage is fully furnished with central heating throughout, a multifuel stove, TV, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine, tumble dryer, table top freezer, radio cassette, pool table and is enclosed in its own cobbled yard with parking for up to 3 vehicles.

The cost of the cottage is £300 plus electricity per week.  A deposit of £50.00 would be required on confirmation of a booking with the balance being due six weeks prior to arrival.

Linen can be provided for a small extra charge.
